At the inauguration of the Allahabad High Court Advocates’ Chambers and Multilevel Parking on May 31, 2025, Supreme Court judge Justice Vikram Nath praised the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, calling it “very good, very wonderful".

“Even the Supreme Court sometimes does not understand how work is done here. So sometimes they write somethings,” he said. Encouraging the local legal fraternity, he added, “I tell the judges and the advocates—keep doing your work in your own way. Allahabad High Court will run like this only.”

In January this year, the Supreme Court expressed its concerns over the functioning of the Allahabad High Court, saying that the situation was worrisome.

Justice Surya Kant, while hearing a petition filed by MLA Abbas Ansari seeking relief in a case concerning evacuee property, had said, "See, we don't want to comment..some of the high courts, we don’t know what will happen. This is one of the high courts, one should be worrisome about it... Filing has collapsed, the listing has collapsed, and nobody knows which matter will be listed..."

At the ceremony, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal lauded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for quickly releasing Rs. 680 crore for the project.

“Yogi Adityanath is known for completing work quickly. We know about the Kumbh this year. I thank him for releasing Rs. 680 crore for this project,” he said.

Further, marking 75 years of the Constitution’s enforcement, Meghwal added, “It should be respected because there is chaos in the countries around us, but the reason why the administration works well in our country is this Constitution.”

Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai inaugurated the newly constructed building and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was the guest of Honour.

Supreme Court Justices Surya Kant, J.K. Maheshwari, Pankaj Mittal, and Manoj Misra were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
