A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court of India challenging the NEET-UG 2025 examination's final answer key and result declared thereon by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The writ petitioner's grievance stems from the NTA and MCC's failure to rectify demonstrably incorrect answers in the provisional as well as the final answer key, despite the submission of well-founded objections supported by authoritative academic material.

As per the petition filed by one candidate, namely Shivam Gandhi, this has resulted in a gross miscarriage of justice and an unconstitutional deprivation of marks that critically impact his merit and career prospects.

The Petitioner claims to be a genuine and diligent candidate who appeared for the NEET-UG 2025 examination who is seeking judicial intervention against the arbitrary and erroneous declaration of the final answer key and results.

A stay on the counselling process as an interim relief has also been sought.
