YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Armaan Malik has been summoned by the Patiala District Court, along with his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik, in two separate legal cases. The court has directed all three to appear on September 2, 2025.

The summons came in response to a plea filed by advocate Davinder Rajput, who alleged that Malik is not married twice, but four times. This, Rajput argued, is a direct violation of the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one legal marriage at a time for Hindus.

The first case accuses Malik of bigamy, citing his alleged multiple marriages. The second case alleges that Armaan and his first wife, Payal Malik, hurt religious sentiments when Payal appeared in an Instagram video dressed as the Hindu goddess Kali.

The petitioner contends that this act was offensive to religious beliefs and amounts to a punishable offence under Indian law. The plea also demands the permanent suspension of the trio’s social media accounts, along with a legal declaration branding them as criminal offenders. It seeks strict action under provisions of the Indian Penal Code relating to polygamy and religious insult.

The Malik family, however, has already faced widespread outrage following the video. In response, Payal Malik undertook acts of religious atonement. On July 22, she and Armaan visited the Kali Mata temple in Patiala to seek forgiveness. A day later, on July 23, they visited another Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali, where Payal reportedly began a seven-day ritual of penance that included cleaning the temple and performing prayers. The couple later travelled to Haridwar for further spiritual absolution. During this period, Payal’s health deteriorated, and she was admitted to a hospital in Mohali.

Armaan Malik, whose real name is Sandeep, married Payal in 2011. The couple has three children together: a son, Chirayu, and twins, Ayaan and Tuba, born in April 2023. In 2018, Armaan married Payal’s best friend, Kritika Malik, who later gave birth to their son, Zaid.

Although the family first gained attention through vlogs showcasing their unconventional household, where Armaan lived with two wives under one roof, they later shot to fame after appearing on Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 in June 2024. Since then, Armaan Malik and his family have repeatedly made headlines for controversies surrounding their personal life.
