Doms Industries Expands Global Portfolio with Reynolds Brand Acquisition
Doms Industries Limited has acquired the worldwide rights to the iconic Reynolds brand along with a range of identified assets, contracts, employees and liabilities from multiple subsidiaries of Newell Brands Inc., in a significant cross-border transaction aimed at strengthening its global presence in the stationery and writing instruments market.
Khaitan & Co acted as legal counsel to Doms Industries throughout the transaction, advising the company from the initial term sheet stage through the due diligence process and the drafting, negotiation and finalisation of the transaction documents.
The acquisition marks a strategic milestone for Doms Industries, one of India’s leading stationery manufacturers, as it adds a globally recognised brand to its portfolio. Reynolds has long been associated with writing instruments across several international markets, and the transaction is expected to enhance Doms’ footprint in both existing and new geographies.
Khaitan & Co provided end-to-end legal support across multiple practice areas to facilitate the deal.
