All India Bar Association welcomed the reconstitution of the Law Commission, condemned Owaisi's Criticism

The All India Bar Association has extended its unflinching support to the Law Commission and condemned the statement made by Asaduddin Owaisi criticising the choice of Justice Rituraj Awasthi as it's Chairman.
Senior Advocate Adish C. Aggarwal Chairman of the All India Bar Association in a statement welcomed the reconstruction of the Law Commission and hailed the appointment of Justice Rituraj Awasthi as its Chairman.
It may be noted that the Central Government has recently after 4 years constituted the Law Commission and appointed Justice Rituraj Awasthi as it's Chairman.
Aggarwal also condemned the statement made by lawyer turned politician Asaduddin Owaisi for criticising the choice of Justice Awasthi for the prestigious responsibility, citing the jurist’s judgment in the Hijab case while heading a bench as Chief Justice if Karnataka High Court.
"One, the judgment of the bench headed by Justice Awasthi was later upheld by the Supreme Court in letter and spirit. Two, it is unfair and unethical to judge a judge instead of judging his judgments. On both counts, Mr. Owaisi’s criticism of Justice Awasthi’s appointment as Law Commission of India Chairman deserves to be condemned in the strongest possible terms," Aggarwal said.
AIBA pledged its unflinching support to the Law Commission of India and its new Chairman Justice Awasthi, and undertook to stand by the institution against all disruptive and destabilising forces.
