Bombay High Court judges to get post-retirement allowances to the tune of Rs. 20,000 as per State Government decision

Synopsis

As per a policy decision by the Maharashtra Government, the retired judges of the Bombay High Court will be given allowances to the tune of Rs. 20,000. Their living spouse would also be entitled to such benefits

The Bombay High Court judges will get post-retirement perks and allowances, according to a decision made by the Maharashtra government.

The State will pay for the retiring Chief Justices and judges of the Bombay High Court's housekeeping, driver, and telephone expenses.

Their surviving spouse would also be eligible for the benefits.

The payment would be worth Rs. 14,000 to hire a chauffeur and one domestic help, and Rs. 6000 to cover telephone costs.

In addition to the retirement benefits provided by the Union Law Ministry, these allowances would be given.

A pension amount, leave encashment, and death-cumulative-retirement gratuity are some of these advantages.
