Chargesheet filed against 30 for vandalism outside CM Arvind Kejriwal’s house: Delhi Police tells High Court

Advocate Sanjay Lao, appearing for the Delhi Police, submitted a sealed cover envelope containing the agency's status report and informed the court that two gates would be installed on both ends of the road leading to the CM's residence.
The Delhi Police on Thursday informed a division bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad of the Delhi High Court that a charge sheet has been filed against 30 people allegedly involved in the incident of vandalism outside the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on March 30.
Advocate Sanjay Lao, appearing for the Delhi Police submitted a sealed cover envelope containing the agency's status report and informed the court that two gates would be installed on both ends of the road leading to the CM's residence.
Lao added that 60% of the work has been completed and that the rest would be finished in a few days.
The statement was made before the division bench on a PIL filed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj seeking formation of an SIT to investigate the March 30 attack during a protest against Kejriwal's remarks in a film about the plight of Kashmiri Pandits, 'The Kashmir Files.'
Earlier the Court had ordered the Delhi Police to file a status report giving the progress of its investigation into the FIR registered after the vandalism incident.
In April, the High Court granted bail to eight men who were arrested for alleged involvement in the vandalism incident at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's home on March 30.
The court listed the matter for August 8 with a ‘clear understanding’ that it would decide on the matter that day.
