The Delhi Court, on Thursday, dismissed the anticipatory bail application of IAS trainee Puja Khedkar. Additional Sessions Judge Devender Kumar Jangala while examining the report filed by the investigating authority, deemed it necessary to dismiss the anticipatory bail application.
Background:
Puja Khedkar commenced her probationary training at the Pune Collectorate in June. She faced allegations of misusing quotas reserved for OBC and PwBD categories to pass the UPSC Examination. Additionally, she was accused of altering her and her parents' names on official documents to increase her examination opportunities. An FIR was filed against her, accompanied by a show cause notice demanding the cancellation of her selection and a prohibition on future examinations.
On Wednesday, the Patiala House Court reserved its judgment regarding the anticipatory bail plea filed by IAS trainee Puja Khedkar. She was accused of 'misrepresenting information' in her application for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination, 2022.
