Delhi Court frames charges against seven accused in the NorthEast Delhi Riots

A Delhi Court has framed charges against seven persons accused under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code including Rioting, Assaulting or obstructing public servant when suppressing riots, Criminal Conspiracy and Attempt to murder in the North East Delhi Riots of February 2020.

The Court has framed charges against  Imram @ Model, Imran, Dinesh Yadav @ Michel, Babu @ Sahil, Sandeep @ Mogli Tinku and Sandeep Bhati.

 Framing charges against Babu @ Sahil and others under Sections 147, 148, 149, 380, 427, 452,436 and 188 IPC for vandalizing and committing theft in the shop of one Illiyas, Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Yadav observed “all of you being from a particular community alongwith your associates (unidentified) formed an unlawful assembly, the object whereof was to cause maximum damage to the property and persons belonging to the other community, commit criminal trespass, theft and arson in the shops, houses and other properties of the persons from other community, use force and violence in prosecution of the common of such assembly and in violation of the Proclamation issued under Section 144 CrPC by the competent authority, committed rioting and you all knew being members of the aforesaid unlawful assembly that an offence was likely to be committed in prosecution of that common object and thereby committed offences punishable under sections 143/147/148 IPC read with Section 149 IPC and Section 188 IPC and within my  cognizance.”

In case of Sandeep Bhatti the Court framed charges under Sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 436, 380,454,307,392,394 and 188 of IPC for causing gunshot injuries upon one Shahrukh on account of the fact that he belonged to the other community and for vandalizing a "Paan shop" belonging to one Haneef.

In Case of Imran and others the Court framed charges under Sections 147, 148, 149, 152, 186, 332, 353, 307, 120B and 34 of IPC for causing obstruction in the performing duty of Constables Deepak nad Rohit and causing gunshot injuries to the former.
