Delhi HC Seeks Father's Response for Violating Minor Son’s Interim Custody Order

The Delhi High Court has recently sought a response from a father who had allegedly breached the court's previous order concerning the minor son's interim custody and visitation.
A division bench led by Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora was hearing a case involving a father who had taken custody of the minor child on May 30, 2025. However, he had failed to return the child to the mother as per the earlier order of the court.
The plea before the high court had been filed by the mother of the minor child through her legal counsels, alleging that the custody terms had been violated.
While considering the case, the high court directed the father to produce the child and hand over custody to the mother.
It also suspended the scheduled visitation on June 27, citing continuous custody violations since June 1.
The court has further granted the father's counsel time to file a reply explaining the delay in handing over custody.
Notably, the High Court had passed an interim custody and visitation arrangement under which it had allowed the father custody on the 2nd and 4th weekends (Friday to Sunday), and also on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.
The matter will next come up before the court on July 4, 2025.
