Reportedly, Nikki Yadav was strangled with a charging cable (sources) and accused Sahil Gehlot then drove with her body on the co-driver seat before dumping her body in the fridge at his dhaba in Mitraon village. Gehlot married another woman on the same day.
A Delhi Court on Wednesday send accused Sahil Gehlot to 12-days judicial custody after his police custody ended in connection with the murder case of his live-in partner Nikki Yadav.
Gehlot was produced before the court after his police custody ended today. The Delhi Police had arrested him on February 14.
Allegedly, Nikki Yadav was strangled with a charging cable (sources) and after that accused Sahil Gehlot drove with her body on the co-driver seat and later dumped her body in the fridge at his dhaba in Mitraon village. Gehlot on the same day got married to another woman. The incident came to light on February 14, four days after Nikki had died.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Archana Beniwal remanded Gehlot to judicial custody till March 6. All the accused including Gehlot will be produced in the court on March 6.
According to ANI, the CMM heard the submissions of the police in her chamber.
Notably, on February 20, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Samiksha Gupta of the Dwarka Court, extended Gehlot’s police custody for two days and sent five co-accused to 14 days of judicial custody.
According to sources, on February 18 Delhi Police produced Gehlot’s father, two cousins Ashish and Naveen, and two friends, Amar and Lokesh at the residence of the Duty Magistrate.
Gehlot during the police interrogation disclosed that the deceased (Nikki Yadav) was asking him not to marry another girl because both of them had already solemnized their marriage in 2020 and that Nikki was her wife and not a live-in partner.
