The Patna High Court has issued a tender inviting bids for supply of iPhone 13 (256 GB) for all judges of the court. 

A tender was issued on Tuesday asking interested suppliers and authorised dealers to quote a price for the models inclusive of GST and service changes. 

"Sealed quotations are invited from reputed firms/authorised dealers/suppliers/service providers for supply of Apple iPhone 13 Pro (256 GB) for the Hon'ble Judges of this Court", the tender notice states.

The tender notice also states that the headquarters of the office of the firm or shop must be located in Patna. 

Total sanctioned strength of the Patna High Court is 53 judges and as of 1st June the working strength go the High Court was 27. However, with the Central Government recently notifying the appointments of nine more members of the bench, the working strength of the bench will increase to 36. 

The tender does not give any reason for why the High Court has chosen to buy iPhones for its judges.
