Draft booklet for establishing Islamic Rule in India recovered - other key accusations against PFI members in ATS Chargesheet

The Maharashtra ATS in its chargesheet said that the accused were trying to wage war against the state and trying to covert India into an Islamic state by 2047

The Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad has filed its chargesheet in a case where 5 PFI members were arrested after a nationwide raid was conducted over the office bearers of the Popular Front of India. 

The Maharashtra ATS has filed a chargesheet of more than 1000 pages and has alleged that the 5 accused arrested were working towards bringing Islamic Rule to India by 2047. 

It states the police had recovered a booklet from Mansoor Khan's phone which was titled "Draft Booklet for Regaining The Glory Of Islam By 2047". The said booklet talks about how India could be made Islamic State by 2047. 

The charge sheet also states that the accused were planning to bring together Muslims living in Kashmir and Lakshadweep should be involved because 70% of the people in that region were Muslims. Further, it is stated that the Muslim Youth should be used to mobilize them and convince them that their religion is in danger.

The Maharashtra ATS has claimed that the secret meetings were conducted by PFI members at Chembur, Thane, Kurla, Dharavi, Nerul, Panvel, and Mumbra. Further, it is alleged that the said accused wanted to establish Shariat in India by replacing it with the Constitution.

The ATS in its chargesheet said the accused were planning to wage war against India by using religious leaders and disrupting Hindu Organisations like RSS. Further, the aim was to collapse the state machinery and judiciary and seek financial aid from the Islamic state.
