In a concerning development, the Rajasthan Police has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against a magistrate in Hindaun city, Karauli District, following serious accusations by a Dalit gang rape survivor. The survivor alleged that the magistrate instructed her to disrobe in the courtroom to display her injuries, sparking outrage and raising questions about the behaviour of judicial authorities.

According to an NDTV report, Deputy SP (ST-SC) Mina Meena stated that on March 30, the survivor lodged a complaint alleging that the magistrate at the Hindaun court had requested her to undress to examine her injuries. "She refused to strip and after recording the statement in the court on March 30, she registered a complaint against the magistrate. The case was registered with Kotwali Police Station under charges of outraging modesty," Meena said.

The FIR, filed under Section 345 of the Indian Penal Code for wrongful confinement, also invokes the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (SC/ST Act), underscoring the gravity of the alleged actions and the vulnerable position of the survivor.
