Rhea Chakraborty had approached the high court seeking to suspend the Look Out Circular issued against her by the Central Bureau of Investigation

The Central Bureau of Investigation today informed the Bombay High Court that Rhea Chakraborty is no longer the brand ambassador of the company for which she is seeking relief to travel to Dubai.

Advocate Shreeram Shirsat appearing for the CBI informed the bench that they had written to the company to verify if she is still the ambassador and were awaiting their reply.

Advocate Abhinav Chandrachud appearing for Rhea sought permission to move the vacation bench.

Accordingly, the bench allowed him to approach the vacation bench and directed the matter to be listed on 26th December.

Rhea Chakraborty had approached the high court seeking to suspend the Look Out Circular issued against her by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

The CBI was investigating Rhea Chakraborty in the death of the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Sushant's father had registered an FIR against Chakraborty, based on which the CBI had registered the FIR against her.

The actor had approached the high court to travel to Dubai for a brand promotion.

The CBI has opposed the petition, contending that the FIR was filed in Patna and was being investigated by the Delhi CBI team, and therefore, the Bombay High Court does not have any jurisdiction to grant relief to Chakraborty.

During the previous hearing, the division bench of Justice AS Gadkari and Justice SC Chandak had questioned if she had traveled abroad during the past few years.

Advocate Abhinav Chandrachud informed the bench that she was granted permission by the Special NCB Court twice but could not travel due to the CBI look out circular issued against her.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, 2020, at his residence in Bandra. Initially, the investigation was carried out by the Mumbai Police, which filed a report indicating accidental death.

However, Rajput's father lodged an FIR in Bihar, alleging that Rajput's girlfriend and her family abetted his suicide.

Subsequently, the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the Supreme Court, which is currently investigating the matter.

The Enforcement Directorate is also conducting an investigation into Rhea and her family over allegations of money laundering.

Furthermore, the Narcotics Control Bureau is probing claims that Rhea was involved in drug consumption and may have provided drugs to Rajput.

Disha Salian was found dead on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a residential flat in Malad. The Mumbai Police had registered an Accidental Death Report in her case.
