Supreme Court Collegium Approves Transfer Request Of Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice V Kameswar Rao

Justice Sachdeva is set to commence his tenure at the Madhya Pradesh High Court and Justice Rao at the Karnataka High Court.

In a significant development, the Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud, and comprising Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice B R Gavai, Justice Surya Kant, and Justice Aniruddha Bose, approved the transfer requests of two Delhi High Court Judges.

The transfer requests of Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice V Kameswar Rao have been duly acknowledged and approved by the Collegium. Consequently, Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva is set to commence his tenure at the Madhya Pradesh High Court, while Justice V Kameswar Rao is anticipated to assume duties at the Karnataka High Court.

The resolutions dated March 13, read: “The Collegium resolves to recommend that Mr. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva be transferred, in the interest of better administration of justice, to the High Court of Madhya Pradesh” and “the Collegium resolves to recommend that Mr. Justice V Kameswar Rao be transferred, in the interest of better administration of justice, to the High Court of Karnataka”.
