The Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud is set to launch a range of innovative initiatives today, August 16, 2024, at the Kerala High Court, aimed at revolutionising the judicial process. The event, scheduled for 3:45 PM, will witness the inauguration of Digital Courts, Online Dispute Resolution Systems, and other cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and transparency of the judiciary.
CJI Chandrachud will deliver the inaugural address, marking the beginning of a new era in the Indian judiciary. The event will also see the launch of:
Digital Court for Negotiable Instrument Act Cases: A first-of-its-kind court dedicated to resolving cases related to negotiable instruments, such as cheques and bills of exchange. This digital court will enable faster and more efficient disposal of cases, reducing the burden on traditional courts.
Online Dispute Resolution System: A platform facilitating online deliberations and ensuring transparency in the judicial process. This system will enable parties to resolve disputes remotely, reducing the need for physical court appearances and enhancing the overall efficiency of the judicial process.
Model Digital Court Room: A futuristic courtroom designed to overcome traditional limitations, leveraging ICT resources and customized furnishings. This model court room will serve as a template for future courtrooms, incorporating technology to enhance the judicial process.
Distinguished guests, including the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who will deliver the keynote address and inaugurate Special Courts for SC/ST (POA) Act Cases in Ernakulam and BUDS Act Cases in Alappuzha, Finance Minister K N Balagopal, who will deliver a felicitation address and inaugurate the CCTV Surveillance system and control room, Minister for Law, Industries, and Coir P Rajeev, who will deliver a felicitation address and inaugurate the Security cum Facilitation Block, will grace the occasion, highlighting the significance of this milestone event in the Indian judiciary's journey towards digital transformation.

Learning Management System of the Judicial Academy: A comprehensive online platform for judicial education and training, enabling judges and court staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Digital Library and Research Centre: A state-of-the-art library and research center providing access to legal resources, journals, and databases, facilitating research and reference for judges, lawyers, and researchers.
Restoration of the Ram Mohan Palace project: A historic preservation project aimed at restoring the Ram Mohan Palace, a iconic landmark in Kerala, to its former glory.
Digital District Courts: A initiative aimed at digitising district courts, enabling online case management, electronic filing, and digital documentation.
