NIA arrests accused in 2021 Bomb Explosion Case in West Bengal

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on June 3, 2022, arrested an accused namely, Isha Khan @ Isha in West Bengal in connection with the Bomb Explosion Case, which took place in 2021.
The case pertains to an incident of an explosion of a bomb at platform No. 2/3 of Nimtita Railway Station, which caused serious injuries to 22 persons including ‘Jakir Hossain, the then Minister, of the Government of West Bengal’.
As per NIA, the case was initially registered as FIR No. 05/2021 on February 17, 2021, at Azimganj GRPS and later re-registered by the NIA on March 2, 2021.
The Investigation has revealed that the accused ‘Isha Khan’ was involved in the supply of explosives to another accused Sahidul Islam which was used in the blast at Nimtita Railway Station on February 17, 2021.
