[Nuh Violence] Congress MLA Mamman Khan granted interim bail in two remaining cases

Khan has been granted interim bail in two pending cases in FIR number 137 and 148 registered at the Nagina police station

Congress MLA Mamman Khan who was arrested last month in connection with July 31 Nuh violence, was granted interim bail on Tuesday by a Nuh Court in two cases.

According to news reports, Khan has been granted interim bail till the next date of hearing, October 18.

Out of the four FIRs registered against Khan, he has already been granted bail in two cases on Saturday. He is likely to be released on October 4, i.e. today.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ajay Sharma granted Khan interim bail.

Khan was granted interim bail in two pending cases in FIR number 137 and 148 registered at the Nagina police station.

According to the police, Khan the MLA from Ferozpur Jhirka was accused of provoking people and inciting violence and was arrested on September 15.

News reports suggest that a religious procession was being carried out by Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and stone pelting started by a mob of young Muslim men, leading to communal violence.

Following this, news of religious violence spread across the Muslim-dominated Nuh district, which further led to stone pelting in parts of Sohna, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Palwal. Protestors blocked the road and dozens of vehicles and a shop were set ablaze by angry mobs.
