Suit filed in Lucknow Court seeking permission to worship "Shivling" allegedly situated at City's Teele Wali Masjid premises

The plaintiffs have alleged that the Shivling was consecrated by Lord Laxman and the existing mosque was built by demolishing Laxman Teela on the orders of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha through Rishi Kumar Trivedi, the State Chief of the organisation, has filed a suit before a Lucknow Court seeking permission to perform Hindu worshiping rituals of the "Shivling" allegedly situated at the plot earlier known as Laxman Teela where city's Teele Wali Masjid currently stands.
The suit plea moved through Advocate Shailendra Srivastava states that the Shivling was consecrated by Lord Laxman and the existing mosque was built by demolishing Laxman Teela on the orders of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
The plaintiffs have said that the suit has been filed with all the historical records in support of their claims. The next hearing in the case will take place on July 8 before the Civil Court Junior Division, Lucknow.
The plaintiffs have also urged the Court to decree the suit for permanent and perpetual Injunction restraining the defendant parties from imposing any restriction, creating any obstacle hindrance in performance of daily Darshan, Pooja and performing rituals of the said "Shivling".
Apart from that, a prayer for decreeing the suit for mandatory injunction directing the Government of U.P. and District Administration to make safe security arrangement and facilitate the Plaintiff's right to worship the said "Shivling" has also been made by the plaintiffs.
Importantly, a further prayer has been made to restrain the defendant parties and their representatives from modifying the structure of the property in question without court's prior permission.
Last month, the Lucknow District Court ordered the applicants seeking an appointment of a commission to survey Lucknow’s Teele Wali Masjid to move lower court where another Original Suit, filed in 2013, is pending.
The application under Order 26 Rule 9 read with Section 151 of the Civil Procedure Code was moved alleging that attempts are being made to destroy the old structures of temples of Shesh Nageshatileshwar and other deities which are present on the disputed mosque complex site to change its religious character.
