VidhiUtsav 2026 Spotlights Global Rule of Law, Thought Leadership and Legal Transformation
VidhiUtsav 2026 convenes leading legal voices to advance global rule of law through dialogue, collaboration and actionable ideas.
VidhiUtsav 2026 Emerges as Hub for Legal Reform, Global Collaboration and Ideas
VidhiUtsav 2026 unfolded as a vibrant confluence of legal thought leadership, policy engagement and cultural dialogue, reaffirming its growing stature as a platform dedicated to reimagining the future of law, justice and society. The festival brought together an eclectic mix of jurists, policymakers, corporate leaders, artists and young professionals, all united by a shared commitment to strengthening the rule of law in an increasingly interconnected world.
The keynote sessions held on March 28, 2026 set the tone for the festival, featuring prominent voices from across the legal, policy and cultural spectrum. Among the distinguished speakers were Mr. R. Venkataramani, Attorney General for India, who emphasised the centrality of law, humanity and justice; Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, SILF who reflected on the opening of the Indian legal sector and global integration; and Dr. Manoj Kumar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice, who spoke on simplifying the language of Law for efficient dispensation of justice.
Across discussions, a recurring theme was the transformation of legal practice in the face of digitalisation and cross-border complexities. The conversations moved beyond traditional doctrinal debates to address real-world concerns, including regulatory harmonisation, access to justice, and the role of legal education in shaping future-ready professionals. Participants emphasised that the legitimacy of legal systems today depends not only on sound jurisprudence but also on their ability to foster trust through transparency and consistency.
The festival’s structure encouraged a free flow of ideas, allowing experienced practitioners and emerging voices to engage in meaningful exchanges. This inclusive approach enriched the discourse and ensured that conversations were grounded in both theory and practice. VidhiUtsav thus emerged as a space where ideas are not merely debated but refined into actionable pathways for reform.
Importantly, the festival underscored the need to bridge the gap between dialogue and implementation. It emphasised collaboration across sectors, recognising that the future of law lies in partnerships between institutions, industry and academia. In doing so, it positioned itself as a catalyst for forward-looking conversations capable of shaping policy and practice.
As the discussions progressed, the importance of reliable and authoritative legal information emerged as a cornerstone for strengthening the rule of law. Gaythri Raman, representing LexisNexis, stated, “Vidhi Utsav 2026 provides an important platform to engage in meaningful dialogue on strengthening the rule of law in an increasingly interconnected world. In my session on ‘Advancing the Rule of Law: Making a Global Impact,’ I emphasized that access to authoritative, reliable legal content is foundational to building trust, consistency, and transparency across jurisdictions. As the legal landscape evolves, the role of high-quality, authoritative content becomes even more critical in shaping a more robust and globally aligned rule of law.”
Echoing the festival’s broader vision, Vikesh Dhyani, Co-founder, Director and Publisher, Oakbridge, remarked, “VidhiUtsav is a legal literary and cultural festival and movement to reimagine the future of law, justice and society, by bringing together the sharpest legal minds, boldest thinkers, scholars, and emerging voices on one powerful platform. It is an event where ideas get ignited, and are transformed into action that shapes the legal, business, and societal landscape of tomorrow. At VidhiUtsav, we don’t just discuss change we inspire it, shape it, and set it in motion for the legal and business world of tomorrow.”
As the festival drew to a close, it reinforced a compelling message: that meaningful dialogue, backed by access to knowledge and a commitment to innovation, can drive the evolution of a more inclusive, transparent and globally aligned legal order. VidhiUtsav 2026, in that sense, stands as both a reflection of contemporary legal challenges and a blueprint for the future.
