Mumbai Police have escalated the matter by issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Haag, indicating the seriousness of the allegations and the ongoing probe.

Celine Jaitly has filed this case in addition to the ongoing proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

On a complaint by Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly, the Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against her husband and Austrian National Peter Haag, under Sections 85, 115(2), 351(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 in connection with serious allegations of cruelty, physical harm, criminal intimidation, and sustained harassment.

This marks the initiation of criminal proceedings against former Miss India and Miss Universe Runner-Up Jaitly's husband in addition to the ongoing proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

In light of his continued non-cooperation with the investigation, the Mumbai Police have escalated the matter by issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him, indicating the seriousness of the allegations and the ongoing probe.

Celina Jaitly Haag is being represented by a legal team from Karanjawala & Co., comprising Mr. Sandeep Kapur (Senior Partner), Ms. Niharika Karanjawala Misra (Associate Partner), and Ms. Rytim Vohra Ahuja (Senior Associate). Peter Haag is represented by a team from CMS Induslaw.

Last year, Jailty had also filed a criminal complaint against her husband Peter Haag seeking an investigation into his acts of cheating, criminal misappropriation, criminal breach of trust, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of a woman amongst other offences in the Versova Police Station on December 11, 2025.

Anathor case had also been filed under the Domestic Violence Act against Haag, alleging domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation. She has also sought Rs 50 crore as compensation, claiming loss of earnings due to his conduct. In November when the matter had come up before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Andheri, for verification and issuance of notice after verifying the complaint, the Court had directed that notice be issued to Haag.

In her petition, Jaitly has alleged that her husband is a “narcissistic” and “self-absorbed” individual who “shows no empathy” towards her or their children. She states that she suffered sustained emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse, which eventually compelled her to leave their home in Austria and return to India. The actress has sought ₹10 lakh per month as maintenance and has requested that the court restrain Haag from entering her Mumbai residence. She has also sought custody of their three children, who are currently residing with Haag in Austria.

Addressing the proceedings in an Instagram post, the actor had said, "In my darkest hour, the legal force to reckon with, Karanjawala & Co, became the shield I needed to fight for my dignity and rights. I am so grateful for their unwavering understanding and protection. As my matter is sub judice, I am unable to make any comments at this time. I kindly request you to contact my legal representatives for any official information or statements.”
