Synopsis

The controversy around Bal Sant Baba intensified recently after a video surfaced showing him dancing energetically before a prominent spiritual leader, Swami Rambhadracharya

The family of the 10-year-old self-proclaimed spiritual orator widely recognized as "Bal Sant Baba" has filed a plea before a Mathura court, urging the registration of a case against seven YouTubers.

The complaint, filed by the child’s mother Jyoti, accuses the YouTubers of maliciously targeting the young boy’s spiritual image and beliefs, claiming their videos were designed to mock and defame his religious stance.

The complaint filed under Section 173(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) names seven YouTubers—Ankit Patel, Shwetabh Gangwar, Rakesh Kumar, Anurag Joshi, Abhijeet Vaishnav, Nitin, Devang Kanabar, and unknown individuals.

The court has sought a report from the police in this matter and set November 6 as the date for the hearing.

The child's parent claimed they had not intended to take the matter to court; however, their complaint filed with the police on October 19 produced no results.

The YouTubers, named specifically in the complaint, allegedly used the child's videos to generate income, claiming that such content incites disrespect toward Hindu religious practices and could influence followers' beliefs negatively. The complaint also charges that the accused intentionally disrupt religious harmony and provoke hatred.

The controversy around Bal Sant Baba intensified recently after a video surfaced showing him dancing energetically before a prominent spiritual leader, Swami Rambhadracharya, who was visibly displeased and publicly reprimanded the young boy. This incident, along with widespread internet discussions questioning the child’s authenticity and spiritual credibility, has prompted some to speculate that he may be under undue influence from his family for publicity or personal gains.

The family’s plea seeks legal action under several charges, including criminal conspiracy, defamation, and intimidation.
