Synopsis

The Chairman and Secretary of the Badlapur School where a male attendant sexually assaulted a 4 year and 5 year old minor has approached the Bombay High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case. 

The petition was listed before a single judge bench of Justice RN Laddha, which posted the matter for further hearing on October 1.

An FIR was registered against the individuals for not reporting the incident to the police.

The Chairman and Secretary of the school approached the High Court after the Sessions Court denied anticipatory bail to them.

The State Government has formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate the case.

Last month, a division bench of the High Court took suo motu cognisance of the incident and has been supervising the investigation.

The police have already arrested the male attendant, who is currently in custody.
