Earlier in the evening, the three people were remanded by the Thane Court in Judicial Custody, after which the lawyer immediately moved a bail application before the court.

The complainant’s lawyer submitted that the police officials had not yet booked Gaikwad and his friends under Section 307 (Attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.

Gaikwad’s lawyer contended that all the sections under which he was charged were bailable, and further interrogation was not required.
