The plea mentioned before the court by Shiv Sena states that every year Dussehra is celebrated by the Shiv Sena since 1966 and that they shall be granted permission to celebrate Dusshera.
Uddhav Thackrey lead Shiv Sena has moved the Bombay High Court seeking permission to hold a Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park.
The plea states that an application was filed with the BMC seeking permission to celebrate Dussehra at Shivaji Park, in August, but the BMC has not yet decided on the application. The petition seeks directions from BMC to decide on the application for the celebration on October 05, 2022.
The plea also states that the Dusshera celebrations are conducted by Shiv Sena every year since 1966 and every year permission has been granted.
In the petition it was submitted that the High Court should direct the BMC to decide on the application in 3 days and permit Dussehra celebration on the eve of October 05.
