On Thursday, via a press release, the Bar Council of India (BCI) Chairperson Manan Kumar Mishra congratulated Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Bharatiya Janata Party's win in the State Assembly elections held in four states (UP, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand).

In the press release, Mishra states that the election results have demonstrated that the people of the entire country have accepted the leadership of PM Narendra Modi & Home Minister Amit Shah and under this leadership, India is becoming stronger.

"These election results have proved that under the leadership of Honourable Narendra Modi ji and of Hon'ble Amit Shah ji, our India is completely safe and protected,” the document reads.

Mishra further states that the results of the elections have spread a wave of happiness among the lawyer community of the country. "Representatives of advocate associations from all corners of the country have sent a message of congratulations to Honourable Narendra Modi Ji," the press release adds.

Further discussing the role of the BCI and other advocate representatives, Mishra notes that "under Chairman's leadership, members of the BCI actively participated in election campaigning in Goa, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand."

"The developments and work done by Chief Ministers Pramod Sawant and Yogi ji under the patronage of Narendra Modi were discussed in lawyers associations, lawyers participated enthusiastically in voting and thus, BJP won, ” he further adds.

The chairman concludes the release by giving congratulations to the Prime Minister, on behalf of the BCI and lawyers across the country." The Bar Council of India on behalf of the lawyers of the whole country congratulate Shri Narendra Modi Ji for this historic victory,” the press release reads.
