Public Support for Tiranga Rally Shows Kashmir's Resurgence into Normalcy, people's desire: J&K High Court Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh

The Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh took the lead inTiranga Rally, organised by the J&K Legal Services Authority (JKLSA) in association with District Legal Services Authority, Srinagar. The Chief Justice guided the procession from the High Court to the iconic Ghanta Ghar.

Participating in the Tiranga rally celebrations in Srinagar, Justice N Kotiswar Singh, the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on August 13th, conveyed his positive outlook on the future of Kashmir.

When queried by the media platform Asian News Hub, Chief Justice Singh commented that the Tiranga rally celebrations exemplified Kashmir's gradual return to normalcy.

Highlighting the region's natural beauty and the warmth of its people, the Chief Justice emphasized that Kashmir deserves to be the best.

He also pointed out the notable increase in tourist visits to the region, possibly reaching its peak over the past decade.

Justice Kotiswar said that people's participation in the country's independence day celebration itself showed the people's desire. 

He added that in the last couple of years, the region saw significant development in terms of peace and also in terms of economic activities. 

"People are coming in large numbers to visit Kashmir without any hesitation and going back happily. It is an indication that Kashmir is developing. Kashmir cannot be looked at through the prism of troubled times. We must look forward," said Justice Kotiswar while expressing his hope for stability to remain in the state. 

He also addressed the issue of case backlog in the judiciary. He said that the registry and its functioning are being streamlined, and the work is being made more systematic to give priority to old cases to clear the backlog.
