One of the five plaintiffs in the ongoing Gyanvapi suit before the Varanasi Court, Rakhi Singh has moved the Court against the Gyanvapi survey report leak. She seeks probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the leak of the videos and pictures of the survey report.

Yesterday, while keeping in mind the delicacy of the case, the District and Sessions Judge Dr. AK Vishvesha had made available the sealed copies of the survey footage to four of the five petitioners on the condition that the same should only be used for filing objections against the commissioner’s report and without the permission of the court it should not be made public.

Court has also directed them to give an undertaking for the same. The peitioners had filed an undertaking stating that they will not leak any of the material provided to them.

However, soon after the the sealed envelopes containg survey report and video footage, photographs etc. were provided to the petitioners, the video footage of the the survey reports started appearing on various news channels.

In her application, Singh has stated that the sealed packets received by the four petitioners have not even been opened, still the survey video got leaked.

Stressing that flashing of the Survey videos on the news channels would be categorized as a heinous crime, Singh has alleged that anti-national elements may be involved in this.

Notably, earlier today, the four women petitioners returned the sealed packets of the survey to the court.

The developments are taking place in the suit filed by 5 women seeking the performance of all rituals of Maa Shringar Gauri, Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman & other deities within the "old temple complex" allegedly existing inside the mosque site.

During the hearing of this suit, the Civil Court had appointed an Advocate Commissioner to survey the disputed Gyanvapi site and submit his report. The report was submitted before the civil Court on May 19 and the court had invited the objections from both the parties. However, they are yet to be filed.
