Rohini Court Gang War: Application in Supreme Court seeks immediate steps for security of Subordinate Courts

In view of the Gang war
incident
that occured at Rohini Court, New Delhi, an Interim application has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking immediate steps and measures for tightening security at Subordinate Courts.
The application has been filed by Advocate Vishal Tiwari in the
suo
-moto matter pending before the Supreme Court over the Larger Issue Of Safety And Security Of Judicial Officers.
The plea said, "Such incidents are not only threat to our Judicial officers, lawyers and people present in the court premises but it is also threat to our justice system. The court is a place where people are in the shelter of law but they fall victim in courts of unlawful Activities."
In the Rohini District Court, Delhi on Friday rounds of gunshots killed gangster Jitender Mann Gogi by members of a rival gang inside a courtroom.
“Two from rival gang opened fire at Jitender Gogi inside the court. That was when police retaliated and killed those two assailants - the police acted swiftly and killed both the assailants. Total three are dead, including Gogi,” Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana reportedly told NDTV.
The application suggests producing hardcore criminals through video conferencing mode before the trial courts from jails itself instead of producing them in a physical manner.
The plea further sought directions for installing security and CCTV Cameras in the District Court complexes of our Country , So that every incident that occurs may be caught in its true Scene and occurrence.
The applicant has further suggested, "Opening the Armed police post in the District Court Complexes and also at the Taluka level judiciary."
In wee hours of the afternoon on September 24, 2021, notorious Delhi gangster Jitender Mann Gogi was shot dead by members of a rival gang inside a courtroom at the Rohini court in New Delhi, in a shootout that left other several other lawyers and an intern injured.
In videos that emerged of the incident, rounds of gunshots are heard outside the courtroom and policemen and lawyers are seen scrambling for safety.
