Aman Lekhi resigns from the post of Additional Solicitor General of India

Sr. Adv. Aman Lekhi today tendered his resignation from the post of Additional Solicitor General of India.

His letter of resignation dated March 4 addressed to the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Kiren Rijuju states that he is resigning with immediate effect. 

Lekhi was appointed as the ASG in March 2018 and was reappointed again in July 2020. His term was due to expire on June 30, 2023.

The resignation letter assigns no reason for his doing so. 

Lekhi has appeared in many important matters as an ASG in the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court.
